Prior to Christmas last year, I was on a mission to buy a few luxury makeup items on my wish list, which I know I haven’t shared with you before. This wish list is ever growing and changes all the time and so instead of writing a post about it, I would just share with you as a haul of the items that I end up buying.
I have been a fan of Urban Decay’s naked palettes since they have and are still popular in the beauty community today. Although, I only own the first naked palette and the naked basics, I was on the lookout for this fairly new collaboration with Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette. At the time of purchase, this was not yet available in Australia and I felt a bit special getting my hands on this gem before its initial launch.
The packaging comes in gold accents with white and black graphic print that Gwen has carefully chosen, a kind of vintage inspired heavy case that has this magnetic closure, which is easy to open and close. It comes with 15 gorgeous eyeshadows of neutrals and a few mixed jewel tones that would suit just about every makeup lover, and in a range of finishes including: matte, pearl, satin, shimmer, metallic and a touch of sparkles.
Tom Ford is a new to me brand and I have been keeping my eyes close on his latest Lips & Boys lipstick line and an inspiration from Annie, from Annie’s Beauty Blog posts on her collection of Tom Ford’s lipsticks. It is definitely not hard to love her swatches and I could not pass the opportunity that one day I would own one someday. Tony (metallic red) is part of the 25 new lips & boys shades for 2015 and this was a special purchase, reason being, it is also my hubby’s name. I was thrilled when his name was made as part of this collection and hoping that a lipstick for my son would be included, perhaps in the next line – just wishful thinking!
These Charlotte Tilbury The Perfect Pink Kiss set was something I wanted to try. I initially had my eyes on the lip cheat lip liners, as well as the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks and since then, my love for Charlotte Tilbury makeup had blown up in proportions! Not really knowing if these colours would suit me, I wanted to just try them collectively, as there are no CT counters available near me or in Australia for that matter.
You can tell from the above swatches how lovely they appear. The K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Coachella Coral is a true coral shade that is perfect for spring / summer and teamed with the Lip Cheat in Pink Venus would enhance this marriage of pink-coral bliss on the lips.
My love for wearing neutral lipsticks had not stopped since it was a big trend in 2015. Neutral lipsticks have become a staple shade in my makeup collection and I could not pass another chance at one of these sought after CT Matte Revolution Lipstick Bond Girl. Every time, I would check websites, this particular natural berry shade was always sold out and now that I have my hands on them, I can see why this is such a popular colour.
Are any of these makeup products on your wish lists too?
