COVERGIRL x KATY PERRY Katy Kat Eyeshadow Palettes

I haven’t used an eyeshadow palette from Covergirl in a long time. Recently, I have had the opportunity to try the latest from Covergirl x Katy Perry makeup collaboration–Katy Kat eyeshadow palettes. I’m not into cats as pets or anything cat specific, so while the design is cute, I’m only reviewing the eyeshadows and not the design aspect of these eyeshadow palettes.

“I collaborated with COVERGIRL to create my own make-up collection, The Katy Kat Collection. I made the Katy Kat Collection for my fans and any girl who is willing to experiment with colour. I am so proud of the collection.” – Katy Perry.

*Katy Kat Eyeshadow Palette Cool Kat

The cool kat eyeshadow palette is a mixture of cool tone shades of blues, pinks, greens and neutral nudes. This palette is compiled with a variety of finishes in matte, satin, foils and metallics. As you can tell, these eyeshadows have a high level of pigmentation and there’s no denying they also look well presented in the pan. The quality of these palettes are very good for drugstore standards and though I feel it has a gimmick appearance, if you’re a Katy Perry fan and have enjoyed using other makeup products from her collaboration with Covergirl, this will surely not disappoint you.

*Katy Kat Eyeshadow Palette Hot Kat

The hot kat eyeshadow palette has a beautiful neutral compilation of earthy nude shades that will work for everyday wear. I found that I gravitated towards this palette compared with cool kat. The eyeshadow shades are right up my alley and I’m enjoying the varied finishes in mattes, satins, foils and metallics. These colours can be worn as separates for simple eye looks or pair them together to create smokey eye makeup looks. Whatever you fancy, there is something from these 2 palettes that you can create a unique eye makeup look.

I found both palettes did have some to minimal fallouts and worked well at blending with using an eyeshadow / crease makeup brush, as well as using a finger to apply the foiled shadows. Both palettes can be utilised to create dry and wet makeup looks from day to night, work appropriate eye looks to intense and dramatic eye makeup looks. These are a great eyeshadow palette collection to add to your Covergirl x Katy Perry makeup collaborations.

Have you tried these eyeshadow palettes?
