Can you believe March is almost over? This also means that my empties bag is filling up fast. I’ll be honest, it can be overwhelming to see how much product I use and see it being used up. As a beauty blogger, it is my prerogative to share with you what’s been working or not. Read on to see what I thought of these products.
Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Cologne Sample 9ml AU$19.45 – These Jo Malone fragrances aren’t cheap and you can purchase these mini as part of a set of five but at a luxe price of AU$175. I love this scent especially in Autumn and Spring time, but naturally her fragrances can be layered with other scents too! The notes include: just-ripe pears, white freesias, amber, patchouli and woods.
Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara Mini 4g AU$20 – I have enjoyed investing in mini sized mascaras and this roller lash helped to lift my lashes, as well as hold curls (with or without using an eyelash curler). I found that it would give definition to my short lashes and give me that wide-eyed look. I will repurchase this product again when I’ve cut down on my mascara stash.
Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Cologne Sample 9ml AU$19.45 – This is a cult fave and I happened to receive this as a gwp when I purchased a 30ml size cologne (english pear & freesia cologne). Everything about this scent is amazing and so beautiful. If I had known this scent existed, this would have been the fragrance I used in my wedding! I definitely recommend this for brides-to-be! The notes include: juicy red apple, jasmine, rose, gillyflower and blush suede.
IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes! 5-in-1 Clinically Proven Mascara Mini 4.8ml US$10 – The 5-in-1 consists: adds volume to natural lashes, condition and hydrate, a lash primer that contains an enhancing serum, adds tint to natural lashes, and has a designed comb or curler to help lift lashes. The triple brush lengthens, curls and separates lashes, while the magic wand lash ball tip was designed to reach every last inner and outer corner lash. This is pretty much an all-in-1 mascara that is smudge free and keeps lashes on all day without flaking.
Philosophy Amazing Grace Fragrance 15ml AU$25 – I have been a fan of soft floral and citrus scents since I started incorporating fragrances in my beauty routine. I have repurchased this twice and have never been disappointed. I love that this scent adapts to my everyday life and it doesn’t matter what season it is either. The notes include: soft floral blossoms, a hint of light musk and fresh bergamot.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Blackest Black AU$21.95 – This was the first full size mascara I ever finished. I found that towards the end, it only really gave my lashes definition and not that fan effect that it claimed to give. I felt that it flaked towards the end of the day (around 5 hours of wear) and for what you pay, it’s more expensive than the roller lash mini. I didn’t see any real benefit in using this and was disappointed that it wasn’t worth the hype.
