It’s that day of the week again, where I share with you my latest skincare empties. Continue reading to see what I think of these beauties.
*Clinique Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser 125ml AU$29 – This is an orange gel formula that has an efficient blend of gentle exfoliating micro beads that melt into the skin, a cleanser that foams instantly as it cleans and refreshes skin. I found it helped to prep my skin for makeup application in the morning. I have repurchased this a few times in the mini size and have loved it. I have a back up in this full size and cannot wait to reintroduce back into my morning skincare soon.
Sukin Energising Body Scrub Coffee & Coconut 200ml AU$14.99 – This contains aromatic coffee beans and Coconut Shell to exfoliate, and leave a polished surface. It also has aloe vera, coconut, jojoba and sesame seed oils that offers lasting hydration to soften and smooth the complexion. I used this once a week and the texture reminds me of cookies and cream. The granules are small as it gently exfoliates skin without it being too harsh. This is suitable for all skin types. I have repurchased this already and am currently using as part of my shower skincare routine.
*Bioderma Sensibio H2O Solution Micellaire 250ml AU$31.99 – This non rinse, gentle, fragrance-free micellar solution cleanses impurities and removes make-up. This soothes sensitive and intolerant skin. I found that I have gone through this product many times and have always relied on it as my number one go to for those lazy skincare routine moments. I also used this as a toner after cleansing skin, as I found it to clean my skin in preparation for face serums/oils and moisturiser. I have a couple of back ups of this solution micellaire in this brand that I am trailing at the moment.
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Gel-Creme 15ml AU$18 – This came as part of a gwp. I have been a huge fan of Moisture Surge range. I found that it soothes and nourishes dry-dehydrated skin types almost overnight. The gel-creme texture felt refreshing on the skin and is a non-greasy product. This is available in two sizes, 30ml and 50ml. I would definitely look at repurchasing in the future.
Sephora Metamorphosis Exfoliating Powder 40g AU$24 – This is a powder exfoliator that you need to mix with water to create a creamy paste. The bottle reminds me of a salt & pepper shaker and is easy to access the product without being messy. This contains tiny green beads that help with exfoliation, however, I found that these beads do not melt into the skin and instead go down the sink drain, which is not great for the environment. I found that it does clean skin except it was a little harsh on my sensitive skin. It left my skin tight and a little drying. As you can tell, I have not finished it and won’t continue to use it. Overall, I found that it was a hit and miss at times, it was a disappointing and an expensive product.
