Face of The Day | 90s Make Up Look

I bet you are probably over the whole 90s make up look by now, but I seriously am not bothered by this make up look at all. What I really love is the brown-earthy-nude-shades that can make a make up look natural, but also make your lips appear fuller and luscious.

The 90s make up look trend, I think began some time last year or maybe even the year before, but I have just been crazy over nude-brownish shades of lipsticks and this is probably a no surprise to you. So to create this look, I used the following products:

It definitely is all about the base before anything else and especially when you plan to wear foundation. This MUFE primer is a godsend, you guys need to give this a go if you have not already. Truly amazing primer that leaves the skin feeling oh so smooth and helps any foundation application a breeze. I pair this with Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation + concealer and this is another amazing 2-in-1 light weight makeup item. I like that the concealer formula works best for applying extra under the eyes as it kind of almost banishes dark circles, fine lines and great for hiding any large pores and other blemishes you might want to conceal. Leaves a nice demi-matte finish with buildable coverage.

The trick to having fuller lips is to line your lips first, by using a similar shade to your lipstick. Naturally, I  have fuller lips, but to make them appear luscious and kissable, I need to add colour and create dimension. If you have thin lips, you can choose to over line, but with my lips, I chose to line within the parameters of my lips and colour inside.

I mentioned a few times before, how I keep going back to nude wearable shades everyday lipsticks, and today is no exception. I wanted to let you know how obsessed, and I mean ridiculously obsessed I am with Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick Bond Girl. Though, I did accidentally picked up the wrong colour, as I wanted Birkin Brown. But after comparing swatches online, it was lucky I did end up with Bond Girl. I found this to be the best 90s colour of lipstick for me. I say it even beats Gerard Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill 1995 lipstick, which is also amazing, but can dry out my lips, where as Bond Girl actually keeps my lips moisturised with a matte finish.
