I think I said I would do about 2 of these face of the day posts each month, but to be honest, I may have put too much on my plate. My son is now 1 years old and teething and trying to balance a life at home with blogging is really tough. I normally would not rant about these things, but I thought I should just let you guys know that I have not forgotten about it and do expect to continue bringing more content.
To create this “no makeup-makeup look” with a focus on a nice subtle natural cheeks, I used the following products below. Note that a couple of these products are new to me, but today I will focus more on that blush.
- Face / Base – Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer and Tarte BB Tinted Treatment Primer SPF 30 in Medium
- Eye Lashes – Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara in Very Black
- Cheeks – H&M Beauty Pure Velvet Cream Blusher in Cameo Brown
- Lips – NYX Butter Goss BLG16 in Praline
Most of the time I rarely wear makeup, but there are the occasions where I create my “no makeup-makeup look“. This of course changes all the time, as it is quick to do and everyone can create a look like the one shown above. How gorgeous this cream-to-powder blusher from H&M though, it gives my cheeks a lovey subtle hint of colour. The beauty line is not yet available in Australia and when that happens is anyone’s guess. I really enjoy how velvety and lightweight it feels on the fingers and not sticky at all. It dries matte (even when it claims to give a dewy finish, I think this is not entirely true) and from what I can see, it has no glitter reflexes, which is a good thing–unless that is your thing. The colour is a buildable mauvey-brown with a hint of pink and this colour is perfect for everyday. I do find it easier to apply with fingers as you can have more control, as well as it does not cake or hug around dry patches of skin. It sits comfortably on the skin and lasts for a long time.
