I may be behind with Fenty Beauty, but if there is one thing I am sure about–is to never jump into a hype and buy something I will regret later. Been there and done that! Since Fenty Beauty launched in September 2017, I watched the hype all over social media, keeping watch on instagram like a moth plague and it was as though everyone around me had picked up something or everything from her collection, except me.
“A must-have set of our most coveted luminizers for face and lips, featuring Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in “Hu$tla Baby” and Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in travel-friendly sizes for killer radiance on the fly.” – Fenty Beauty.
I waited and watched the photos appear on my insta-feed and the tweets flooding my twitter about all the amazing products and especially the luminizers, and this universal lip gloss. I wasn’t convinced enough to buy them separately and in full sizes, so I held my purse close to my chest and waited, thinking perhaps Fenty Beauty might bring out a travel size set. Look and behold. Right?
Mini Gloss Bomb 5.5 ml
This mini gloss is described as the give-it-to me gloss that feels as good as it looks in one shimmering rose nude shade. This is definitely a gorgeous colour and the gold reflexes are beautiful, it doesn’t feel too sticky or tacky on the lips and that’s it. Aside from the ultra glossy finish, it didn’t blow my mind and I also wouldn’t wear it on my eyelids even if it has a multitude of purpose. The brush is long and wide, which applies product to lips in a couple of swipes and it smells sweet. I will continue to use it as a standard lip gloss or to add as an extra dimension, a lip topper over lipstick.
Mini Killawatt Hu$tla Baby 2.2 g
This mini killawatt highlighter is described as a supercharged peachy champagne shimmer for your face, eyes, lips, collarbone – literally anywhere you crave a touch of light. This is again a beautiful product and perfect amount of champagne shade to suit any skin complexions–mine included. I like that it comes in this compact with a cute mirror and the product just looks amazing on the pan. With one swipe across the back of my hand, this highlighter is ridiculously pigmented and a winner for me. I hardly saw any fall outs and the formula is very thin, but opaque and the quality is incredible.
The two bestsellers sold as a travel size set, you definitely cannot go wrong. If you were like me and held back, this one should leave you speechless. Purchase from your nearest Sephora store and online, as well as Fenty Beauty website. Prices may vary: AU$32 / US$23.
