*Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer 30ml $57
I have had the pleasure to try this product a few years ago and like gel based primers can be a hit or miss. For me, this hydra veil primer was a fantastic product and nothing like a primer I have used in the past. If you have normal/combination skin type, you may not have to necessarily apply your moisturiser as it has a ‘rehydrating‘ factor that works like a face moisturiser. It simply leaves foundation and powders appear flawless on the skin.
*Illamasqua Powder Foundation PF 210 10g $51
I have divided my face so that you can see one side is powder foundation versus liquid foundation. This powder foundation has a very sheer to light coverage. I found this felt more like a touch up type of product, though can be wore over a primer to create that natural “no-makeup makeup look“. This shade appeared more of a neutral beige that appeared a little lighter for my skin tone. The powder is finely milled and helped to absorb oiliness and kept my skin look matte.
*Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation SB 09 30ml £33
This skin base foundation has to be my favourite foundation of the moment. The shade choice was a little tricky to match from online, but I found this shade to be pretty close to my neck skin tone (neutral yellow/golden shade), which is lighter than my face but best suits the rest of my skin complexion. I found this to have medium to full coverage and not having to use a concealer is a bonus. It also has a matte finish, which is what I usually prefer to wear for foundation. I found that when I had experienced dry and flakey skin around my jaw area, this foundation helped to conceal without making it too obvious.
*Illamasqua Skin Base Mixer Terracotta 30ml £26
I have never seen anything like this, but after further research, these skin base mixers are available in 4 shades (white, amber, terracotta, chestnut) with missions to ultimately fix or increase brightness, add warmth and depth to the skin. They can also conceal and correct blemishes and colourations. Skin Base Mixers are also a handy essential to adapt foundation shades throughout the seasons. The terracotta shade is great to neutralise pigmentation.
*Illamasqua Neutral Eyeshadow Palette 4 x 1.5g $59
This neutral eyeshadow quad is a staple for everyday. You can’t go wrong with each shade on this palette. The consistency and texture gives a smooth and even application, which is a rich and velvety powder that can be worn alone or together that offers great pigmentation, easily blendable, won’t crease, fade or smudge. It is housed in a convenient mirrored compact.
*Illamasqua Beyond Powder OMG 7g $57
I can’t say my photos have done any justice to showcase how vibrant and spectacular this beyond powder appeared on my skin. I found that dipping my finger I could see how blinding this is, but after dusting it over my cheekbones, you can’t even see it, but it is there and you can probably see it on the tip of my nose, on my cupid’s bow and as a swatch on my hand. It is exactly the “OMG” shade–champagne gold, a baked highlighting powder that can subtly add warmth to your complexion for a natural and radiant glow. It has a lightweight texture that glides onto skin effortlessly, creating a healthy and flawless skin finish. You can apply wet or dry and can provide long lasting results on skin.
*Illamasqua Slick Stick Lip Flush 0.25g $33
This retractable slick stick lip crayon creates has a creamy consistency that is water-resistant and once set it doesn’t shift. It is essentially a product that enhances the lips and help to prevent colour bleed, as well as offers a colour-intense lip colour. Flush is more of a berry pink shade that is close to my natural lip colour and a colour I often use when I am lazy to wear lipstick.
*Illamasqua Liquid Lip Lure Dusk 2.5ml $34
I have used a variety of liquid lipsticks, but this liquid lip lure is one of my favourites. This offers long lasting, colour intense with a beautiful semi-gloss finish. It glides onto lips smoothly and feels comfortable, and offers continuous wear. I love the subtle gloss it leaves which seems to be more natural and appealing. The shade dusk (mauve-berry shade) is the perfect companion with the above lip crayon. The wand is this slender shaped sponge applicator that allows for precise application and its rich pigment provides ultimate colour pay off.
