It is so satisfying to be able to play with a couple of new makeup products from Gilded Cage, courtesy of Sarah Humphries Agency. You may or may not be familiar with new Australian beauty brand, Gilded Cage Beauty, the parent of revelation eyeshadows, unleashed lipsticks and charisma lip glosses. These products where designed in Paris, made in Italy that have been certified in compliance with strict EU cosmetic regulations, which means these products are not tested on animals (cruelty-free).
Take a moment to zoom in and focus on the beautifully-simplistic design as a reflection to being true to ones self. Everything from packaging down to formulation process had been carefully thought through and this brand is just beginning to take off.
“There are many ways to be beautiful that there is no one size fits all beauty format.” – Rhys Williams, Founder of Gilded Cage Beauty.
Spring is officially here and here to stay a while, and what better way to celebrate a new season with these gorgeous colours that bring tears of joy to my eyes and sing hallelujah to my lips.
*Gilded Cage Unleashed Lipstick no.112 Bold Coral AU$40 – It is at a ripe shade of ‘yes please’ when it comes off as strikingly bold and in your face, but rest assured it is a trio of sheer, opaqueness and luminous shine. While the colour is fascinating, the formulation is right up my alley. It contains ingredients such as amino acid derivative, wild mango butter, water lily flowers, orchid flower extracts, other hydrating and antioxidant properties. The texture is as you expect, soft and silky as it glides onto your lips, which leaves a thin film with a high colour pay off. It feels effortlessly weightless and with such an exquisite blend of ingredients, you would expect nothing but comfort to your lips.
*Gilded Cage Revelation Eyeshadow no.16 Antique Silver AU$38 – The first word that resonate is ‘party’ and with such a vivacious colour that should be a must-have. The soft and creamy texture blends easily with a fingertip or for a more precise effect, use an eyeshadow brush. It has a long wear formulation that uses a blend of Sesame, Neem and Indian Senna Seed oils, and a gelled volatile oil that sit on the eye lids and is creaseproof for a solid 6 hours. I have naturally oily eye lids and this product lasted longer than expected. The colour is stunning on swatch, but it may come across as a little OTT for some. It has a luminous colour pay off when worn alone, but if layered under other eyeshadows, this becomes translucent, as filters of reflective pigments emerge on the scene. A wonderful cream textured eyeshadow that will not disappoint.
