I finally took the plunge and ordered a few Glossier beauty products through a 3rd party and I’m so glad that I did. When they will allow shipping to Australia is anybody’s guess, but for the time being, this is the way I will have to go buy their raved about cult skincare / makeup products. “Our skincare products are designed to instantly optimize skin’s tone, texture, and hydration levels so that it’s already at its best before you even think about makeup.” – Glossier.
GLOSSIER Rose Balm Dotcom Universal Skin Salve 15ml
This is a barely-there soft pink tint balm that is easily applied to lips, cuticles, elbows or anywhere dry skin happens. I personally only use it for my lips even when it appears transparent (clear) on the skin. It has this aroma that is a delicious rose scent–not sickly sweet or nauseating, well at least for me–it isn’t!
The balm is this dense-waxy texture that melts into skin easily through a twist capped tube with packaging that is just simple and adorable. It’s a hydrating, multipurpose lip and skin salve that’s packed with antioxidants, and natural emollients to nourish and repair dry skin.
GLOSSIER Birthday Balm Dotcom Universal Skin Salve 15ml
This is the newest flavour to join the balm dotcom family and was inspired by some Milk Bar brand’s famous cake. This seriously smells and tastes like cake batter with a hint of shimmer. By accident, a bit of this went into my mouth and while I don’t recommend you eat it, it has the caryl edit seal of approval for tasty flavour!
Just like the rose balm, this too is a multipurpose, but since it contains tiny shimmer specks, I can’t quite imagine this ever being used as a relief salve for other parts of my body. It stays on bare lips or layer on top of a lipstick to give that extra shimmy look.
There are 6 flavours to choose from: rose, birthday, cherry, mint, coconut and original. These retail for USD$12 each or purchase as a trio of your choosing at USD$30 per set (saving of USD$6). I would consider trying out a few more flavours, but so far these have been my go-tos.
