Green Skincare Solutions with Botani

Entering the new year with a positive skincare goal in mind, I was determined to continue using only natural, certified organic, cruelty free and vegan products. Botani Skincare is an Australian brand, founded by a Melbournian Naturopath and Herbalist, Barbara. These products were sent to me for review consideration, courtesy of Milk Bar Digital.

With over 20 years experience, Barbara carefully crafted and developed creams from having a “deep understanding on the skin’s intimate needs and how to blend ingredients from nature to truly nourish and heal it”. (Botani Skincare)

“My passion has and always will be helping others put their best skin forward, simply and naturally… Botani literally translates into ‘plant’ or ‘nature’ in English.” – Barbara, founder of Botani Skincare.

*Botani Spirulina Salt Scrub 250g AU$31.95 – A 3-in-1 salt scrub that exfoliates, detoxifies and nourishes skin. The perfect body scrub to prepare skin for waxing, tanning and for moisturisation. This salt scrub has been formulated with only natural ingredients that will give you the ultimate body scrub experience. This tub contains a lovely fresh citrus aroma, a thick cream paste with Australian Sea Salt that is mild to coarse texture, but not abrasive. This will help to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores and stimulate blood circulation. I would prefer to see this product packaged in a tube form as it would be more hygienic and would minimise contamination.

*Botani Exfoliating 2 in 1 Scrub & Mask 100g AU$29.95 – A 2-in-1 scrub and mask that gently exfoliates, as well as deeply cleanses skin. It contains ingredients such as oat bran, Australian bentonite clay and native Australian quandong extract. It also contains anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that soothe and relieve skin congestion. These offer hydration, skin brightening, anti-ageing benefits, as it promotes cell regeneration and restores harmony within the skin. It has a citrus/herbal scent–a combination of chamomile and grapefruit, subtle, but not overwhelming. This blend is perfect for blemished, acne prone skin, as well as dull and ageing skin. Used as a weekly facial scrub, it keeps my skin feeling ultra soft, blurs out my pores and prepares for the next steps in my skincare regiment.

*Botani Olive Skin Serum 15ml AU$31.95 – This olive skin serum has a light, non-oily formulation that is quickly absorbed into the skin, as it locks in moisture. With daily usage, this serum has helped to combat dehydration, which has left my skin feeling nourished and supple. It is also formulated with high grade Olive Squalene, sourced from olives that are enriched with vitamins c and e. It has helped to minimise the appearance of acne scarring and calms redness when my skin experiences sensitivity.
