It’s been a year since I last used anything new from Herbivore. I’ve enjoyed using a few of their products in the past, you can check out my recommended reads below. The past few months I’ve been testing out a new overnight treatment and a lip conditioner (essentially a lip balm) that I’ve had my eyes on forever.
Herbivore Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment (Lavender + Sweet Orange) AU$76.38 – This is a unique multitasking overnight cream that provides important nutrients to help fight visible signs of ageing while you sleep. With ingredients such as prickly pear, goji berry, red raspberry seed, exotic kokum, and shea butters that provide deep hydration and lock in moisture.
Moon Fruit’s colour is natural and comes from indigo root powder, which is a natural anti-inflammatory and soothes the skin. This cream is light, but rich that you only need a half a pea size to cover a full face. There is also no colour transfer on clothes or on your pillow while you sleep, as long as you take the time to massage the product into your skin. If you notice your face going purple you have used too much and will need to remove the excess.
Herbivore Coco Rose Lip Conditioner AU$28.97 – This is a hydrating lip conditioner with an all-natural scent and flavour from Virgin Coconut Oil and Moroccan rose absolute. These key ingredients combined help to protect, smooth, and soften lips in a lightweight and deep moisturising formula. It reminds me of the discontinued (in Australia) Dior Crème de Rose smoothing plumping lip balm (may still be available at Sephora US), as it holds similar creamy texture that keeps lips nourished, soft and supple. This has become a lip care staple and I take this everywhere with me. Although, it’s in a pot, I don’t have any qualms using my finger or a lip brush to apply to my lips.
