Vaseline is a brand I have grown up to love. It is this brand that first made me realise the importance of good body care. For years, I have used their body moisturisers, lotions and hand creams. I have rediscovered and re-introduced them back into my body care routine. These products were sent for review consideration, courtesy of Sarah Humphries PR.
I often experience dehydrated and flakey skin all year around. No matter how much water intake or how healthy I eat, my skin just seemed to be constantly thirsty. I repair these skin conditions by simply using *Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Spray Lotion (RRP AU$9.99 190g). I’ve been testing this version, which has made things easier to apply after showering and through out the day. The Aloe soothe is perfect for when skin is sunburnt as it leaves a gentle and cooling sensation when it meets the skin. It’s also great for nursing back dull and thirsty skin back to life. It’s less messy, as the spray nozzle was designed for an even all-over coverage, as well as for those hard to reach places without feeling greasy or sticky. It’s portable to take along on road trips and holidays to the beach.
The *Vaseline 100% Petroleum Jelly (RRP AU$2.73 50g / AU$4.10 100g) is an old favourite. I have used this for multitude of things, especially when it comes to dry skin and chapped lips. It is both protective and effective when the skin experiences severe skin conditions, this petroleum jelly provides a barrier against water loss from the effects of weather and environmental exposure. It also protects minor burns or cuts where the jelly melts into the skin by locking in moisture to help skin repair itself. It is also useful for taming down those small fly aways and baby hairs on my head. It is gentle to use on the skin as it won’t clog pores as it it hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.
