January Favourites

January Favourites

I probably have not written a proper favourites post in a couple of years. Because I probably have not discovered as many new products and naturally, it would be boring of me to talk about the same favourites each month. What I have decided to do is to share my favourite products every quarter and that should give me some time to discover or rediscover products that I may enjoy using at that time.

To start of the first month of the new year, I have to share with you guys some items that have been on my radar a lot this month. More or so to do with skincare as it seems I just can’t get enough of skincare products. I talk about my outstanding (skincare) brands of 2015, if you read that post, you will know how much skincare had played an important role in my skin life! Worth noting that the brands mentioned are still on my favourites list and I recommend you to have a read, as it may be useful to you later on.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette – This is a rediscovery and something that probably most of you guys own as well. It had been sitting under a small pile of other eyeshadow palettes, but once I cleared away the dust, it looked good as new. I especially enjoyed using the colour faint (in between naked 2 and crave) as I wear it alone – the shade is a nice milk chocolate brown colour that is pigmented and easily blendable and buildable.

*Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Mascara Night Fall – I recently had another opportunity to work with Dusty Girls Makeup and of course I was excited to try out this mascara. I have not really used an all natural and mineral type of mascara, but a full detailed review will be uploaded on this some time this month. Lets just say, this is a pretty darn amazing mascara, feels nice on the lashes – like you wouldn’t even know you are wearing one. It is black and very nourishing and buildable without flaking, or looking all spidery and dry. ??

Formula 10.0.6 Wipe Your Face Off Makeup Removing Facial Wipes (Pink Grapefruit + Apple) – It didn’t start off nicely, but after trying it again, I realised just how much my skin loved these face wipes. It removes face makeup easily on days that I am lazy and not bothered to properly cleanse, which is 95% of the time. I know, but it does say on the packet, no need to rinse out with water, so I am just following instructions! 😛 It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, non-drying and ready to apply moisturiser.

January Favourites 1

Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Oil Balancing Facial Oil Roller – It contains Blue Tansy (Azulene) which is deep blue in colour and acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial that aids in reducing redness. Suitable for combination, oily, and blemish-prone skin types. In a matter of a few days, my skin is even better than before and my pores are not as big as they appear, which is fantastic! You see immediate results when it comes to skin feeling soft, smooth and supple.

Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist – My skin feels extra fresh every time I spritz on my face and neck. I love the rose and coconut scent together, as it reminds me of how much I need to escape to some tropical island, lying down on a banana chair on a white sandy beach sipping on some tasty cocktail and watching the sunset! 😀

Go-To Skincare Very Useful Face Cream – Do I need to say more? This is legit a very useful face cream you NEED in your life. It may even replace your current favourite face cream to this if this isn’t your favourite already, just saying!
