Before today, I have never heard of armpit detox. I never knew what it was or what it did. But you would be happy to learn that I transitioned into using natural, chemical and aluminium free deodorants since 2015 and have never looked back. Kind-ly was founded by Lisa Raciti, who saw a gap in the Australian market for an all natural deodorant. The Australian made and owned brand creates a range of friendly skin essentials that uses only natural and organic ingredients that do not contain aluminium and other chemical nasties that we often see in commercial antiperspirants. The range includes 100% natural deodorants and the armpit detox mask. Continue reading for my full review on the armpit detox mask.
The Armpit Detox 100g $24.95*
The armpit detox is a mask that is powered by activated charcoal, Australia bentonite clay and colloidal silver. The mask is supposedly helps to draw out impurities, clears skin and helps to assist with transitioning to natural deodorants. It contains only 100% natural and organic ingredients blended with essential oils of lemongrass and ginger. It is recommended to use daily for the first 7-14 days and for maintenance use once a week. The brand is vegan and cruelty free, and is suitable for all skin types.
To use, simply squeeze a small amount (a little goes along way) using fingertips and apply a thin layer to clean and dry armpits. Allow it to dry for 10-15 minutes and once mask dries, rinse off in shower with warm soapy water. Since I am time poor recently, I used the armpit detox mask every second day for 10 minutes in the first week. I rinsed away with a warm facial cloth and wash away any excess in the shower. I found that using the product as recommended, as well as my preferred technique (facial wash cloth) worked equally the same to get the same results for me.
Overall, it is a great product to use as it helped to cleanse my armpits and gave a lighten appearance to my skin without using nasty chemicals like bleach. I also found it neutralises odour and restores ph balance. My skin doesn’t irritate, but it feels cleaner and fresh.
