Happy Sunday! I hope you guys are all doing well and enjoying your weekend. So, I was recently at my local Kmart store to check out any new home decor products. I needed to do a bit of ‘you can look, but you can not buy‘ shopping. Naturally, I ended up being at the beauty section, where I came across some new
products colours from this OXX makeup line that is owned by Kmart. To refresh your memory, you can read more on my first post at the end.
I have a few more items to share with you that I think will be great for this season and in winter. The colours here are very wearable everyday shades for both day and night. You can find similar shades at your nearest drugstore or Kmart store (if you live in Australia). The starting price begins at AUD$2 and for large palettes are sold anywhere between AUD$5-$12 going from memory.
- OXX Eyeshadow Quad – this eyeshadow quad has a nice balance of earthy tones with matte and satin finishes. Great for everyday wear and can be worn all at once or simply by mix and matching shades. My favourite in this quad is the obvious bronze-brown that is so pigmented at first swatch this is what sold me to buy this product.
- OXX Mono Blush – I have been hunting down some brownish-nude shade of blushes to wear for everyday. I do not know if I have found it in this, but upon inspection, it looks pretty on the pan but swatched appears more pinkish-nude, which suits people who have a light-medium skin tone. It is completely a matte finish, but has minimal fall outs and has a more of a sheer to light pigmentation.
- OXX Henry Ford Lipstick – you can tell these lipsticks look cheap, as there is like a shiny coat of film or something on the outer part of the lipstick bullet. Once swatched, it appears a really nice peachy-pink shade that starts off sheer, but the colours are buildable and look really nice. It does not seem to tug the skin when applied and I can not say it has any moisturising benefits. But I do like the name, as it kind of reminds me of Tom Ford’s Lips & Boys lipsticks.
- OXX Chevrolet Lipstick – is a raspberry shade that is similar to Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie and is also very pigmented on the first swatch. I think this colour is gorgeous for an evening makeup look and if you are brave enough to wear in the daytime and show off those sultry lips of yours, then why the heck not! As mentioned above, I can not say much about its moisturising benefits, but I do enjoy how it feels on the lips. It has this sort of creamy satin finish and because this is a deep shade, I can see it staining the lips as the day ends. This is probably my favourite out of the lipsticks.
