After having my hair coloured at my local salon a few months ago, I was given some recommendations for best haircare products that would work for a treated or coloured hair. I often wondered which products would strengthened the life of coloured hair, tame down frizz, and give an overall perfect salon hair look after every hair wash day. These Fudge Shampoo and Conditioner were sent for review consideration, courtesy of Sarah Humphries Agency.
“Fudge Professional is a cult hair brand that fuses energy and experimentation with individuality and an effortless ethos.” – Fudge Professional.
As someone who rarely gets hair coloured, I never know which products work for long-lasting colour and products that can help keep hair looking healthy and vibrant. In past experiences with using other branded shampoo and conditioners, I have found that they do not always live up to their claims.
*Fudge Colour Lock Shampoo 300ml AU$21.99 – This squeeze tube shampoo comes in a silky and almost translucent cream texture. There is a lovely scent that reminds me of stepping out of the salon smell, however not chemical or something along those lines. As this contains NO sulfate, this is no ordinary coloured shampoo. It doesn’t lather up to foam when massage into your scalp. It cleans the scalp with ease and leaves a moisturised clean feeling.
When wet hair is left to air dry or blow dried, my hair becomes frizz free and looks amazingly healthy, just like the time I walked out of the salon. I found that styling is much easier, hair is shiny and colour remains vibrant even after regrowth. It contains the sunflower derived Heliogenol and Sweet Blue Lupin extract to prevent hair colour fading. This tube can last up to 25 washes and is not tested on animals.
*Fudge Colour Lock Conditioner 300ml AU$21.99 – This conditioner has a rich and creamy texture that has the same lovely sweet scent as its partner. The squeeze tube packaging makes dispersing of product in a controlled manner. There is no room for errors here, other than missing your hair and landing on the shower tiles! Just like its partner, this conditioner doesn’t lather up into foam, but when hair is merged with water, the product is easily rinsed out. It contains UVA & UVB filters to protect against heat damage, which results long-lasting vibrancy and shine. As well as Sweet Blue Lupin protects and conditions coloured hair. This tube can last up to 25 washes and is not tested on animals.
Overall, I found this duo a favourite to combat frizz, dry ends, oily scalp and all around extended the life of coloured hair.
