Finding the right nude lipstick or the right natural blush will always be difficult at first, but then you see something that captures your eyes and you end up buying that one thing that hits you like a nail on the head. I was looking for lipsticks to restock, since I had practically thrown away the majority of my lip product collection, did you read that post? I will have links below if you missed it.
I was stalking this line of Marc Jacobs lipstick New Nudes since they started popping up on my instagram feed. I had to wait at the time, as it was not yet available at Sephora (AU) or online. I had read other blogger reviews and swatches as it was and still is difficult for me to pop into town just to get my hands on them.
Long story cut short, I fell in love right away with Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel Lipstick Eat Cake, which appears more of a peachy rose shade on me. It was on my wish list and as the sudden addiction began to blossom, I happened to be at a Sephora store a few weeks ago and an opportunity to swatch the rest of the colours, made me that much more excited to pick up another colour, but on my next Sephora online order. That online order came soon enough when I had to keep this post pending. The Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel Lipstick Role Play, appears a perfect neutral brown rose shade that is probably my favourite out of the 3 thus far.
As I mentioned in a previous post, there was an offer to purchase 2 Marc Jacobs products, 1 being a mascara and you would receive a Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I am also new to this line of lipsticks but no hesitation to try it out as well. I am beginning to like these lipsticks that this may not be the last time you see me blog about them. Everything from packaging (magnetic closure) to the formula (lip gel) and texture (creamy) is divine and nothing I have tried before this moment even compares.
Okay, maybe the Revlon ColorStay Lip Butters might be a dupe, but still, this is just amazing stuff. Which ever colour you decide to pick up, they are all beautiful to look at, and they have a great level of pigmentation that will knock your socks off. The New Nudes lipsticks have so far swoon me over and if only all the shades suited my skin tone, I would like to own all them. As for the Le Marc, it is still early days, but I am sure I will grow to love them too!
What is your favourite Marc Jacobs lipstick shade?
