Speaking of Mecca, yesterday I received my second beauty loop box via the online store. I was really excited to see what would be in this box even when I am still on Level 1. I was hoping to not receive more than half in foil packets, but being on the lowest level, it would be a hallelujah moment if things had turned around.
Once the box is opened, you receive a card detailing what you will get in this box, I also received an email yesterday letting me know what I would expect inside this box, which is a fairly new format. To my disappointment, this box is no different to the first one I received back in January. Three out of the four samples were foil packets and this certainly did not woo me over, but this may just well be what all level 1 beauty discoverers are entitled when they pick up their beauty loop boxes. This time around though, it is more skincare based, which I have no qualms about since I do enjoy my skincare products.
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance / 10ml AUD$33 – this is a nice eyeshadow primer to keep eyeshadows from smudging, creasing and moving around. I do not mind this original formula, but I do prefer the shadow insurance in champagne as there are tiny glitter reflexes that make the eyeshadow appear more intensified and you can also wear it as an eyeshadow. From this sample I could probably get a one time use and I can not even find on the sample how much of it I got!
- Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil 4.5ml AUD$6.75 / 50ml AUD$75 – I am excited to try out this argan oil as I have heard so much about it. I also have a couple of this in foil packets, though I think this mini bottle is a nice travel size sample.
- Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser 2ml AUD$1 / 120ml AUD$60 – this is a daily cleanser that is suppose to gently exfoliate impurities and makeup. Kate’s skincare seemed to have high reviews and many bloggers swear by her products. I did have exfolikate treatment on my wish list, but only to realise I have a sample of it already. One of these days, I hope to get around to trying out both to see if it makes a change on my skin.
- Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 1ml AUD$0.50 / 57g AUD$115 – this is an amazing primer that leaves the skin with a satin finish, but it also helps to minimise the size of my pores, whilst leaving a smooth surface to apply foundation. I first came across this product last year when I bought it in a travel size. This is also one of my holy grail products and having this around is a reminder that I will need to repurchase again soon
In all, this is a below average beauty loop box and I had not expected to only have a value of roughly AUD$10 when the other levels 2 and 3 have way better samples and a box worth keeping. On the brighter side, I did picked up more skincare, so I should not have to wait much longer to go to level 2, hopefully just in time for the next beauty loop boxes.
