For those that have been following me for some time or just before the new year, I recalled writing a post around my Christmas/New Year beauty wish list. Do you guys remember? I almost forgot about it and had been meaning to update you on whether I was able to fulfil this wish list.
There were 6 high end items on this wish list and I remembered a couple of them sold out before I could get to my nearest store and also online just before Christmas. I had missed out on the BareMinerals Love at First Kiss that consisted 10 full coverage lipsticks and also the Ciate London x Olivia Palermo Sundays-My Off Duty Nude Nail Polish.
- Ciate London x Olivia Palermo The Fashion Edit Nail Set – This became my substitute for the full size Sundays-My Off Duty Nude Nail Polish. I realised later that it was not a worth it purchase for the quantity you receive when you have 4 miniature nail polishes versus a full size bottle. I like how cute they looked, but for the price I paid, it definitely was not worth it even when I had an opportunity to sample 3 other colours that may or may not have been created in a full size bottle.
- Ciate London x Olivia Palermo The Smouldering Eye Palette – Again with the pricing, I was not happy with that, but it did convinced me enough to buy it. The colour offerings in this palette are gorgeous and perfect for the Autumn-Winter months ahead. I believe there is another eye palette available, which I have only seen sold on the US Sephora online store.
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit – Pricing for these Christmas makeup sets were definitely not on my side, but after reading many blogger reviews and watching youtube videos, I was completely convinced and safe to say, it has grown on me, as I have used it quite a handful of times. I did not feel my bank account hurt that much (it did though), but I could see this being a staple item in my collection.
- Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment – I did not end up picking this one up in a miniature size, as I noticed in my ever growing samples beauty box that I already owned a sample. Kate Somerville skincare is quite expensive and I could have pick up a the smallest size of 14g for AUD$30, which to me sounds utterly ridiculous. I think a sample seemed to be a better option even when many people have raved about this product for ages.
As for the Diptyque Rose Candle, I can always pick one up whenever, as this is not a limited edition item. I know I have to burn my other candles first before I go buying more, so I will keep this on my wish list for the future. I have written a few review posts for some of these products with links provided below if you are interested.
