The new brand Mecca Max has recently been launched and I had to have a look online. I’ve been loving the packaging and details are absolutely gorgeous. I also visited my local Mecca Maxima store and was amazed by the wide range of makeup. I have a few more products I’d like to check out when I visit the store again.
“This is infused with soft metallic powder and crushed light, to give you a next-level illuminator for heavenly highlights and skin that glows like it’s got its own halo.” – Mecca Max.
Mecca Max Skin Halo Diamond Dust in Solid Gold 10g
The compact case is lightweight and the design is so pretty, I kind of almost bought it just for the packaging alone. The skin halo texture of the powder is buttery soft and glides onto skin easily and boom! The solid gold shade hits you right in the eyes. It’s basically blinding and buildable too!
So, if you’re like me, new to illuminating powders or highlighters or a lover of collecting highlighting products, beginner to professional, no matter what level you are at, you need this in your collection!
With a finger swipe on my arm, you can see just how pigmented it appears. The colour is a true gold and not glittery at all–shimmery, yes, but not glitter and hardly any fall outs. It has a similar consistency to the Becca X Jaclyn Hill’s champagne pop for reference, but the shades here look similar but different.
There are 3 colours available: white gold, solid gold and rose gold. I found this colour suited my skin tone and while I did have a chance to swatch the other 2 colours in store, this one just appealed to me much more. Like most highlighters, this one can also be used as an eyeshadow or even highlight parts of your body if you’re into that. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and for the affordable high-street price AUD$22, it is definitely work checking out!
