As a stay-at-home mum can have its limitations in terms of not being able to go out and have a pamper day as often as we want. We’re always busy at home, cooking, looking after the kids, cleaning the house, cleaning after our kids, and trying to not fall asleep while looking after our kids. In conclusion, we rarely have me time.

*Thermal Wrap N Repair Hair Mask Treatment Set (3 pack) $48
This thermal wrap hair mask is infused with clinically proven ingredients (anagain hair growth molecule, lotus flower, hydrolysed skin and ceramides) and organic botanicals (organic coconut oil and organic manuka honey) to deeply penetrate hair follicles and dramatically improve elasticity, shine and moisture. It claims to be a 6-in-1 hair treatment that is suppose to combat hair loss, improve elasticity, shine & moisture, hair repair through self-heating cap technology, deeply nourish damaged and weakened hair, detangle & thickens hair, and is an easy at home salon cap treatment.
To use hair treatment mask, I firstly shampoo and leave hair damp, then use one treatment mask to cover my hair and as described, wear it like a crown. I found this step to be a bit annoying since having thick mid-length hair it took me a good 5-10 minutes to securely cover my hair with the cap. The head cap is like a one-size fits all and I was a bit concerned that my head wasn’t going to fit this cap. Continuing on, massage hair with serum inside the cap and leave in for a good 20 minutes, remove cap, rinse and style as your usual.
Overall, I found the process to be a bit long and for someone like myself who rarely has time to herself, meant that I had to find 30 minutes to shower and do this hair treatment as well. I didn’t particularly enjoy having to wash my hair twice as this can be a bit messy, especially if you don’t have a portable hand held shower. Aside from the process, it did leave my hair more manageable, soft, smelt really lovely–fresh and as if I did have a salon experience. I was able to style my hair as usual with a blow dryer and a round brush.
It left my knotty, thick and frizzy hair more tamed, smooth and healthy in appearance. I think this would be best to use on a night before an event or occasion. It is worth it if you don’t have time to book a salon to have your hair done and want it done in the privacy of your own home. It is also much more affordable and you can do this every few weeks or when you have plans to go out and want amazing-healthy looking hair.
