My June Mecca Maxima Beauty Purchases

Just to change up the pace with my skincare reviews, this month I have gone a bit crazy with my purse. I don’t normally buy this much makeup products, but there were so many new releases on the radar that just peaked my interest. Continue reading to see what I think about these (mini reviews) new products with some swatches.

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter Blinded by the Light 9g

I was drawn to these heart-shaped light prismatic highlighters, a swatch on my arm appeared to be very subtle and light, which is good for those that prefer subtle glow to their skin. I love a subtle glow since you won’t often see me use highlighters in my daily makeup routine. It would take a special occasion for me to have it applied on my face. The texture has a lovely buttery, soft feel and the pigmentation is not as impactful (light champagne shade), and not as blinding as other highlighters I have seen.

Josie Maran Cosmetics Argan Lip Sting Plumping Butter Free it – Grapefruit Pink 4.5g

Not that I need more volume to my lips, I just adore this shade of pink and it’s the kind that I have been looking for in a long time. If you’ve used Josie’s skincare before, you will be familiar with her signature ingredient–100% argan oil that is also featured in this lipstick. Other ingredients included manuka honey and moringa butter to help soothe and replenish lips. This is more of a tinted lip balm than a straight up lipstick and it also has a sour grapefruit fragrance.

Frank Body Lip Balm 15ml

After a long wait for the stock to be back again I had to pick one up. I know I own a few lip balms already that I always loose around the house, but now I need a new lip balm for my handbag. I honestly have high hopes for this product just because I have raved about their original coffee body scrubs in the past. The formula contains lanolin, coffee arabica seed oil, coconut and grapeseed oils. This natural lip balm is also packed with antioxidants and vitamin e that will keep lips soft and nourished. I will use this as my base if I choose to apply a lipstick over it, otherwise were it alone. Although I’m not a coffee drinker, there is a lovely subtle coffee scent that just smells so good.

NARS Narsissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette (limited edition) 1.4g (x12)

There hasn’t been any Nars eyeshadow palette that had really caught my attention until this came along. I read some amazing reviews and seen online swatches and it was love at first sight. Every single eyeshadow on this palette (mattes/satins) have its own level of pigmentation that just ticks all the boxes and it’s a splurge that I do not regret at all! It has such a soft and buttery feel with little to no fall outs. With one finger swipe against my skin, every shade appears gorgeous as they do sitting in their individual pans. My photo might not do it justice, but go into the store and check it out for yourself. You will not regret it!
