My Morning Beauty Routine with McArthur Skincare

A little over a month ago, I was approached from McArthur Skincare, who asked if I would like to try some of their beauty products in exchange for an honest review. I have only used a different brand of Pawpaw ointment for minor skin issues in the past, but have never come across Pawpaw as the main ingredient found in hair, body and face products.

McArthur Skincare is 100% Australian owned and operated company that was founded in 2010. They are an online consumer retailer and are stocked at pharmacies and health food stores Australia wide. You can also find McArthur Skincare in the UK, US and China.

“All of our products outline on their front label the percentage of our Pawpaw extract in them. This enables an easy comparison to discover that the products from McArthur Skincare have higher concentrations of Pawpaw extract in creams than any other Pawpaw skincare brands.” –

All McArthur Skincare products have been created with natural ingredients however, use beeswax in some products as this is considered safe and a non-toxic ingredient. The range is also free from animal testing, parabens, petrochemicals, steroids, propylene glycol and sodium lauryl sulphate.

I have been using my selected products over a month and have decided that now would be a good time to share with you what I think about McArthur Skincare.

Foaming Facial Cleanser 125ml

I love a great foaming cleanser that not only removes impurities within the skin, but also keeps skin from drying out and stripping away natural oils. This product contains 15% McArthur Pawpaw Extract, which ensures that it leaves my skin replenished, whilst maintaining the balance of moisture on the skin. I incorporate this foaming facial cleanser as part of my daily morning skincare. I have not only used it on my face, but have extended cleansing down to my neck and décolletage. I found that using this cleanser has made my skin look refreshed, hydrated, and ready for the next step in my skincare regiment.

Hydrating Facial Cream 50ml

During the trans-seasonal weather, my skin experiences drought, aka dehydration. I am always looking for more hydrating face creams to add to my collection. This product contains 25% McArthur Pawpaw Extract, which can help to improve skin hydration and minimise signs of ageing. After using the Foaming Facial Cleanser, I go straight into applying this rich cream that protects my skin from moisture loss, but also works as a lovely primer pre-makeup application. As this is a concentrated facial cream, a little goes a long way. It will keep skin hydrated all day, without breaking out into an oily t-zone mess and can help to keep makeup on for a little longer.

Complete Skincare Cream 240ml

Just like hydration for the face, we can’t skip the rest of our body. In rotation with other body creams and lotions, I turn to this Complete Skincare Cream after showering, as my source for healing patchy, cracked and stubborn dry skin that is found on my feet, heels, knees and elbows. This product contains 60% McArthur Papaw Extract, which with no added fragrance, is great for those sensitive skin beauties. It helps to relieve irritation associated with dryness and rejuvenates the appearance of dry skin. Less is more when it comes to using this product, as it shares similar product consistency as the hydrating facial cream. Use as an all-over-the body cream or apply a thin layer on the areas that require attention. After massaging into skin, it leaves a non-sticky finish and skin instantly feels soft and smooth to touch.

Overall, I have enjoyed all three products and consider them to be worthwhile. These products have a subtle, natural pawpaw scent that fades after application.
