It is officially winter in Sydney and with the cold, brings dry and chapped skin. I especially dislike it for the fact that no matter how much I scrub and drink lots of water, my lips and winter just do not like each other. I always seemed to have this issue every winter since I have migrated to live in Australia, almost 27 years now.
I have come to the conclusion that I simply have to keep trying more lip care products to see what actually works for my lips. I have written posts about my favourite lip care products in the past, but while some of them worked, others did not, and you can probably tell, I have one here that has stuck with me for a long time.
If you guessed the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment with Lemon Oil, then you are correct. To me, this is a very hydrating, nourishing and moisturising lip balm. And how can you not love the scent of lemonade? It is a cult favourite and it is on my HG list. I just keep reaching for this in the evening when my lips really need to be rescued and I feel that it really conditions my lips well into the night.
Over the Summer, I had enjoyed using Go-To Skincare Lips! and I will continue to use this season. It smells delicious, gives my lips a new makeover each time, as though I had just taken my lips for a spa! Also, my lips feel smooth, luscious and kissable that my husband locks lips with!
The Dior Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm has only been added recently, but I like how amazing this appears on my lips. Although, it is still moisturising, it gives a nice subtle pink tint that works in association with my natural lip colour. I turn to this on days when I rarely wear makeup, but want to fool people that I am wearing lipstick, you know. Also has SPF10, which is a bonus because I am the type of person that can forget to protect my lips when I am out in the sun.
These lip care products will surely keep my lips occupied, but knowing what each can provide, I am sure the dry and chapped lips will be dealt with before Spring time comes along.
What lip care product(s) do you enjoy using to help soothe dry and chapped lips?
