We are experiencing real winter climates now and I have not incorporated any dark coloured lipsticks this season. I find that I can not pull off wearing dark lips on the daily and would rather dip my lips in something more comforting–like nude colours.
I have been keeping up with wearing nude, neutral, everyday lipsticks or lip products and I just can not for the life of me stay far away from them. I have picked out some of the better ones in my collection that I seem to gravitate towards more then anything else.
I have been trying to expand my lip product brand range and this year I mentioned in some post, something along the lines of exploring new brands. So here it is, the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in My Pink and Rosewood are my latest editions. I love the subtleness of the tints, especially rosewood–just gorgeous. In comes MAC lipsticks in Taupe and Bare, they are different in finishes, but both are pigmented and a must have shades to add to your MAC lipstick collection. You can read more about these in a Mini MAC Lipstick Haul post.
This Too Faced, though not completely new-to-me, as I love their better than sex mascara. This Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua is the perfect everyday lip shade. It glides on with ease and does not dry up my lips. I also find it has a matte finish, which reminds me of Kat Von D liquid lipsticks, which you can read that post here.
Final two, the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Bond Girl and Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel Role Play have been on an ongoing nude lips rotation and I simply can not part with them. I love them for different reasons, but the main reason is that they work well on my lips on the daily and even at night. These lipsticks just give my lips that enhanced natural lip colour look without even trying. I have been all about wearing less makeup this season as my skin has been playing up, hence why nude lipsticks have been my favourites thus far.
