Do you double cleanse? It usually starts off with an oil-based cleanser to help with removing makeup and then follow on with a traditional cleanser. You may be using cleansing oils (suitable for oily skin types) or cleansing balms (suitable for all skin types except oilier skins, but more suited for dry skins), each are formulated using similar ingredients but the obvious difference is the texture.
“There’s been a lot of demand for an alternative way to cleanse. A cleanse that’ll retain moisture to the skin with anti-ageing benefits. We took the cleansing balm approach for its benefits, and with our formula, its top-notch.” – Stephanie Hallab, Product Development & Design Assistant, Nutriments.
*Nutri-Rich Cleansing Balm 100ml $39
The nutrimetics cleansing balm is a hybrid of gel-to-balm consistency with a mild apricot scent. It is a 2-in-1 that dissolves traces of makeup and dirt, as well as cleansing the skin. It is a rich formula that includes their signature blend of apricot kernel oil and is enriched with botanical oils.
To use, simply wet skin and apply a 10 cent coin size (that covers face and neck areas), massage between your hands to dissolve and apply to skin. Rinse with warm water or use a warm face moist cloth to remove balm. I actually prefer to use this cleanser on dry skin and do the same massaging the product between hards, and then apply to skin method. I continue with a warm face moist cloth like this one from Nutrimetics which is ultra soft and gentle on the skin.
The balm transforms from a gel-to-balm to a milky balm consistency that leaves my skin clean, soft, smooth and nourished. It doesn’t leave a sticky, oily film or leave my skin drier, which is amazing, as I have experienced in the past with other brands on these issues.
It comes in this convenient tube that is both mess-free and travel friendly. A moist cloth is very handy that helps to remove all traces of makeup and dirt, without stripping your skin off its natural oils, and doesn’t leave that post-cleanse tightness.
A perfect cleansing balm for the lazy girls that want to save time doing their skincare routine. You can simply follow through with a toner, serum and moisturiser after using this cleansing balm!
