A couple of weeks ago, I attended Revlon’s latest product launches and a masterclass. We learnt a few new makeup tips and tricks on how to create a smokey eye look from using the latest shades from the colorstay creme eye shadow collection. Also, learnt to enhance a metallic lip colour using eye liner pencil and the latest HD matte lip color in metallics. Continue reading to learn more.

*Mega Multiplier Mascara 8.5ml AU$21.95
I am a fan of the ultimate all-in-one mascara and I was keen to try this new mega multiplier mascara. It is safe to say, I can add this to my next favourite mascara from Revlon. Aside from the colour choice, the triangular shaped brush does justice in helping to provide length and definition to my short upper lashes.
I also enjoyed the consistency isn’t drying and it doesn’t clump and leave that spidery look. It contains fibres which help to extend the length of lashes and it also is flake-free and has a smudge-proof wear.
*ColorStay Crème Eye Shadow 5.2g AU$14.95
These creme eyeshadows are highly pigmented and have a this thin and creamy feel when swatched on hand. They remind me of the Maybelline tattoo cream shadows, however found they were a more drying formula, whereas this was easily blendable either using the built-in brush or your fingertips.
It applies smoothly and evenly and can imagine endless eye makeup looks created using one or multiple shades in the collection. There are matte, metallic and satin finishes and claims to have a 24 hour longevity wear.
*Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Metallic 5.9ml AU$24.95
These HD matte lip color in metallic gel formula are lightweight and very moisturising as it leaves lips this velvety feel. It contains 100% wax-free and sits on lips comfortably without it bleeding or tugging the skin. There are 24 high definition shades available.
Overall, the collection has been done well. The mascara certainly gave my short lashes length and definition it deserves. The plummy brown shade is not as noticeable and appears more deep brown with a hint of plum. It also didn’t weigh down my lashes after 2 coats of mascara, and it was easily removed with warm water.
The creme eye shadows were comfortable and easy to apply and layer with other creme shadows. I found that it didn’t crease and stayed on my eye lids longer than I had imagined. I also preferred to use my fingertips as it wasn’t messy and I could control the level of intensity of the shadows on my lids, whether I was aiming for a smokey look or one colour across the lids.
These lip colours had a cake batter sickly sweet scent that I wasn’t fond of, but taking that aside, I enjoyed the quality of the formula on my lips. The formula has a comfortable matte with metallic finish that didn’t dry out my lips, and instead moisturised and didn’t leave a stain behind.
