It’s been a long time since I’ve picked up drugstore palettes. I was fortunate to have received 2 out of 3 of the latest Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palettes. One was given inside a goodie bag as part of attending a Bloggers United AU event in Sydney in 2016. The other was sent for review consideration, courtesy of Coty PR Australia.
These Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Eye Contouring Palette are incased in a light black plastic palette that includes a clear film inside to protect the eyeshadows. Each palette consists of a mirror and a double-ended applicator.
On the back of the palette illustrates suggestions on 3 types of eye looks that can be created when using each palette. These palette offers a complementary range of shades to sculpt, shade and define the eyes for a day time look right through to daring evening looks.
*Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palette 001 Keep Calm & Wear Gold 7g AU$19.95 – I received this in a goodie bag, as part of attending a bloggers event in 2016. This has to be my favourite out of the two palettes. I loved that every shade is opaque, minus one or two of the matte shades. You only need a few basic matte shades and the rest are shimmer/satin finishes.
The texture is soft and powdery that is easily blended into the eye lids. Wear as a singular shade of your choice or wear a few or more to create a nude smokey eye look. The palette contains 8 eyeshadows, a mixture of gold, copper, taupe to rich coffee hues, and is perfect for all skin tones. This is a great travel-sized companion that won’t take much space in your makeup bag.
*Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palette 003 Grunge Glamour 7g AU$19.95 – This Grunge Glamour is not as consistent with Keep Calm & Wear Gold palette. The shades are aimed to create more sultry smokey eyes, using more neutral greys, browns, wine, bronze and pewter hues. The shades are not all opaque and look muddy or hard to swatch.
Have you tried these new Rimmel Magnif’Eyes eyeshadows? Which is your favourite palette?
