I visited the drugstore recently and only had the intention to pick a few dental products as I wanted to stock up, but I got caught in the middle of a major makeup sale, actually it was 50% 0FF! Though, Chemist Warehouse always have something on sale and this is the place now that I tend to buy my bathroom amenities + Hudson’s baby skincare.
Anywho, I found myself dead centre of the makeup aisle and I wanted to pick up a few new-to-me Rimmel products, but only if I could grab them on a bargain. The promotion for 50% OFF ends 26th May 2016 for all you makeup hoarders in Australia.
– Rimmel Sculpting Palette 002 Coral AUD$8.48 (RRP$16.95) – this is a new product in Australia and I have seen this all over instagram. I was not sure if the palette would suit me as I felt it would be better suited for someone with light to light-medium skin tone. Although, I could still use the highlight illuminer as an eyeshadow for the inner corners of my eyes. I do not think this is anything similar to Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop, as it is just not that amazing. The Contour sculpter is more of a cool tone and although it showed up on swatch, I felt I could use this as a nice eyeshadow base. As for the blush, it is a nice spring/summer shade that can add a subtle pop of colour to your cheeks.
– Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer 060 Natural Beige AUD$6.97 (RRP$13.95) – I have watched Youtube beauty bloggers rave about this concealer, not that I need anymore. I like that it has this nice creamy texture that blends easily and does not seem to cake up. It claims to be a 2-in-1 concealer + highlighter, but I will have to play around with it more to see if it will do both.
– Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick 120 You’re All Mine AUD$7.97 (RRP$15.95) – I was really going for more of a nude type shade, but in the end I decided I needed something more girly and this shade screamed fun and chic. The is a medium pink and a lipstick that can do no wrong, it just glides on effortlessly and the colour pay off is awesome. It has a nice demi-matte finish as well as it was moisturising and felt like you were not wearing anything. I would be interested to see the longevity and report back with a review in the future sometime! Also, if you do not mind scented lipsticks, this one has a nice fruity, almost like a fruit salad scent.
– Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 48 Nude AUD$6.47 (RRP$12.95) – Again, I love my lipsticks and I am sure I have talked about the lasting finish by Kate line a lot and are amazing drugstore quality. The formula is gorgeous, creamy, opaque with some demi-matte finishes and yet non-drying and at times can stain the lips, which is a bonus. The colour is a deep dark brown, like if Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipsticks Bond Girl and Glastonberry had a baby, this would be the baby shade, but budget friendly! Also, this lipstick smells like bubblegum and I prefer nice smelling lipsticks over mothball types, I think you know what I am talking about, right?
So do you think I picked up a bargain? Anything from here you have tried and liked?
