Hello Spring! ? It is officially the first day of a new season and what a better way to celebrate it with a new-to-me lipstick from Rimmel. Being on a makeup ban has severely limited my blog post topics. You can agree to disagree if you prefer me to write about makeup versus skincare or anything else, but I do miss writing about new-to-me makeup products.
I was kindly sent some new Rimmel London products to try from Coty PR Australia and immediately I felt happy that I could write and share more makeup blog posts. Now, if you have been following my blog for some time, you know I have been a big fan of Rimmel lipsticks, more specifically the collaborations with Kate Moss. I somewhat found that the standard line of Rimmel lipsticks were not always up to par with Kate Moss’ and I hope today this lipstick will take away the fear of disappointment.
This *Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine Spin All Spring AUD$13.95, is encased in Rimmel London’s signature bullet design with a sheer coloured lipstick lid. There is nothing visually appealing about this packaging other than you know it is from Rimmel. There are 6 shades in total available. The formula is creamy and moisturising, as it is enriched with vitamins A, C and E, which is not always found in Rimmel London lipsticks as they can be drying on the lips. It also consists of SPF 20, which is a bonus, but we should all remember to apply SPF to our lips as we do to the rest of our skin.
This Spin All Spring shade is juicy and fresh as it truly lives up to the name. The colour is a vibrant peachy-coral that suits most skin tones. When swatched on the arm, it appears very bold and bright, yet when applied to the lips, it has this wow–sheer and shine with a tint of colour. You will be pleased to learn that it felt light weight and comfortable on the lips. I appreciate the formula may have been tweaked from another moisture renew lipstick line and can safely say my disappointment has been dissolved and this, you guys is a hit!
