With my gradual transition to healthy and cruelty free skincare, I have also been eyeing products that contain superfood ingredients. A Superfood is essentially a nutrient-rich food that has supposed health and well-being benefits. These SCOUT Cosmetics contain 3 key superfoods–blueberry, pumpkin and turmeric.
*Blueberry Super Fruit Exfoliating Wash-Off Cleanser 150ml $34.95
I have been using this exfoliating wash-off cleanser for a little over 6 months now and it’s been my first choice for in-shower facial wash. Over the course of using this product, I have noticed my skin feel much more softer, smoother and have contributed to help minimise my pores.
This gentle cleanser contains super fruits like blueberry extract which is packed with manganese, vitamins c and k, grape skin extract works to nourish and strengthen skin cells, and acai berry oil is packed with omegas 3, 6 and 9, as well as vitamins b, e and c. This wash-off exfoliating cleanser is also rich in alpha hydroxy acids which help to exfoliate the surface of the skin while promoting an anti-ageing remedy that help to deliver a natural and radiant skin complexion.
*Vitamin C Brightening Serum 30ml $45.95
In rotation with other evening serums, I found this brightening serum to help brighten my skin tone, calm redness and replenish skin. I use about 2-3 drops (thin moisturiser like consistency) and gently massage to face and décolletage, and this is enough that is dries quickly without leaving oily residue. It’s a great serum to use for those with skin conditions like acne, rosacea and eczema.
It contains potent ingredients like organic kakadu plum extract, turmeric and organic rosehip oil, which all contribute to reverse free radical damage and stimulate collagen, improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This serum is also rich in source of essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants, and it contains high levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9.
*Balance and Replenish Light Moisturiser 50ml $39.95
I have used this moisturiser in the past and I did prefer to use this light moisturiser in my daytime beauty regiment. I often choose to apply a thin and lightweight consistency moisturiser in preparation for makeup. This moisturiser leaves a radiant look and keeps skin hydrated all day.
It offers a balance of antioxidants working to fight free-radicals to ensure deep hydration and replenish skin with nutrients and essential fatty acids. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, which includes mandarin, bergamot essential oils, organic rosehip oil, organic pumpkin oil, hyaluronic acid and vitamin e. This moisturiser is suitable for oily, combination to normal skin types.
