The Skin Edit: Favourite Trending Brands

The skin edit is about my new favourite brands that have contributed to how my skin had been looking its best lately. Without the love of my fellow instagram influencers, whom have had partly influenced me into buying skincare to help fix my face, in a nutshell. My skin obsession had made me want to share everything that made my skin look and feel amazing. Truth be told, it has been an expensive journey thus far!

My skin type background: I have a dry-combination and occasionally experience sensitive skin type. For nine months of the year, I am a dry-combination and experience oily t-zones with very minor sensitivity. For three months of winter is when I experience the most dry-combination, dehydrated skin and less oily t-zone.

I prefer to use skincare products that contain hyaluronic acid, as this is my skin’s best friend and one that I believe, amongst other ingredients have helped to keep my skin feeling hydrated, less irritable and fresh face in appearance.

The Skin Edit: Favourite Trending Brands 3

Sunday Riley: I have used both Luna Sleeping Night Oil and Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment as part of the Power Couple set, individually and sometimes teamed with other products. I used more in the evening where I heavily focus on my skin needs. Most recently, I have included Tidal into the mix and love the pairings with other skincare products. Tidal has become a favourite moisturiser, which reminded me of Tony Moly Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream, as both products share that watery cream texture that my skin seemed to love.

Omorovicza: The famous Queen of Hungary Mist (QOHM) is another recent discovery. I have read a few reviews online, have spoken to SAs at Mecca Cosmetica and all have raved about how gentle, soothing it felt onto clean skin or used as a subtle setting spray. I preferred to use after skincare routine, as this is the finale to calm skin down. The scent is a combination of neroli and roses that is mild, but the subtleness of the mist is nothing I had experienced, as it soothes  down my mood.

Dr. Dennis Gross: After going through two packets of this Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel (5 treatments), it was obvious I became hooked and I am now into my third packet! I used this twice a week and feel this is great even when I experienced sensitivity, I do not break out and no panic is spared.

Dr. Jart+: I stumbled on this by accident when I was looking for a new hand cream. You guys know I love my Neutrogena Fragrance Fee Hand Cream, but really wanted to try something with a lotion consistency as we move towards warm weather. My second tube of this top shelf Ceramidin Hand Cream had helped clear up eczema on my hands post-pregnancy. I used this before bedtime and the next morning, my hands feel so much better. I can see a great improvement and happy to know this is working for me.
