When it comes to wearing mascaras, I often gravitate towards basic black or blackest black shades. I have never thought to dive into fun and spontaneous colours with an edge that is described as a lacquer-like fluid texture as supple and bright as vinyl. This is the new accessory for your eyes.
“Versatile, playful, yet always bringing its own sense of drama, Mascara Vinyl Couture comes builds, lengthens and strengthens lashes leaving a lasting coat of color. A perfect finish each time. Sleek, intense, and dangerously shiny.” – YSL Beauty.
*Mascara Vinyl Couture N° 7 I’m The Storm 6.7ml $57
This mascara vinyl couture‘s formula offers lashes with length, volume, curl and saturated colour from root to tip to ensure a strong statement with every wink. The I’m storm is a dark top coat grey shade with silver reflexes that seem to be subtle on the lashes. My photos do not do justice, but they are on the tips of my lashes.
This mascara gave a beautiful all-in-one finish of soft curls, length, lash separation and some volume but not in a dramatic way. Even after 2 costs I found it didn’t appear dry, clumpy or spidery. It is said that the formula is infused with argan, carthame, castor, and sweet almond oils to provide conditioning lash care. Perfect to wear on a night out to town or if you’re feeling fancy and daring in the daytime, add a touch of iridescent sparkle to your eye makeup that might make you cool like a rockstar.
The only downside to this is the mascara contains mild fragrance, which will be annoying for sensitive eyes. Although it fades away after application, the scent is not chemical but more of a fresh scent. There are approximately 9 electrifying shades to choose from and are currently available on the counter and online at Mecca Cosmetica. Other retail launch will begin from April 1st 2018.
