YSL Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stains

YSL beauty has recently launched a new formula in the liquid lipstick category. You may have tried a over a dozen variations and like me know just how it can be stressful to find that perfect liquid lip that gives a matte, comfortable finish with blinding colour. Continue reading to learn more about this contender.

“A revolutionary formula for ultra-matte, high impact color with a lightweight, naked-lip feel. With high pigment concentration, deposited in a really thin veil. From morning to night and back round to morning again, Tatouage Couture leaves the ultimate lasting mark.” – YSL Beauty.

*Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stains 6ml $57

This liquid matte lip stain has a thin ink-like formula that is super pigmented and has a comfortable longevity of up to 8 hours of wear. The spatula-like applicator provides precision and control with every application. The comfort is ridiculously so good that it glides onto lips with ease and dries quickly without any bleeding and is transfer-free.

The formula is amazing that it is ultra thin and lightweight in consistency and you can hardly feel you are wearing anything on your lips. After applying a thin layer on application–it is brilliant, can’t fault it and if you have time, you need to go check it out, as there is a colour for everyone.

However, these do fade when food and drink are consumed. Rose ink* is the only one out of these three that leave a stain to the very end, unless an oily cleanser/balm is used to remove all traces of lip makeup. There are approximately 18 shades available and are currently available on the counter and online at Mecca Cosmetica. Other retail will launch  from March 2018.

Which shades of the YSL liquid matte lip stains are you excited to try?

    1. Yes they are fairly thin consistency. I think you would love these if that is the type of consistency you are after. Also, the red is really nice, it’s just too bad I don’t feel I could pull off wearing something so pretty and bold. 🙂
